Helping others to lose weight
If you have been fat before, and have now
slimmed down tremendously, what would you do ?
Of course .... help others to lose weight !!
That's what this 23 year-old Malay boy wanted
to do ..... who weighed 87 kg and was down to
70 kg within 3 months after following a strict
weight-loss program in Kelantan.
According to him, he used to follow crash diets
but ended up heavier than before. In fact, he
stopped eating carbo-rich rice and bread, and
tried skipping meals.
But he felt tired and weak, and soon he started
eating again, which caused his weight to balloon
even further.
Somehow, he managed to used his will-power to
go through a nutrition-based diet plus exercise
training, and managed to reduce his weight .
From being obese .... he is now a health fanatic.
And he is now organizing the Kelantan Weight Loss
Challenge to provide a new platform for the public
to lose weight and to have a healthy lifestyle.

The Danger of Losing Weight
Have you read about the story of the
chubby Malaysia guy who wanted to lose weight
so desperately that he resorted to using the
so-called needleless injection method ?
This magical weightloss method originated
from Taiwan, whereby many overweight folks over
there claimed to have reduced their weight after
trying out this new method.
What is illogical is --- how can an injection
be done without any needle ?
Akin to the liposuction method, the idea is to
inject a certain type of liquid that will burn
off the cellulite.
So after much persuasion from his obese wife to
go to the slimming centre, the victimized guy had
the procedure done.
Altogether, he did 30 needleless injections costing
about US$25,000 ....
The inevitable happened several days later .....
he felt itchiness at the 30 over spots, and there
were red patches appearing .... followed later by
the growth of infected pus ....
It was a horrible sight to look at --- there were
30 ugly holes around his buldging tummy, with each
hole the size of between 1 to 3 cm.
Of course the slimming and beauty centre disclaimed
responsibility, and the matter may well end up in
court.

....says the headline in a local paper ...
So why is it so difficult to lose weight in
Malaysia ?
Just look at the facts :
The Health Ministry estimates that 1.7 Million
Malaysians above the age of 18 are obese. And
last year alone, the World Health Organization
ranked Malaysia as the 6th most obese nation in
Asia.
Just look around you ... and you can see so many
fat and overweight men and women in Kuala Lumpur,
Petaling jaya, Klang, Penang, Ipoh, Melaka, Johor
and Sabah.... including fat children and obese
teenagers too.
The crux of the losing-weight issue is that
the local diet and lifestyles encourages the
doubling and tripling of the body mass index
( BMI ).
Breakfast is centred around high-carbohydates
food like Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Mee Goreng,
Char Koay Teow.
Lunch means eating Rojak, Nasi Kandar, Nasi Ayam,
Wantan Mee, followed by more high-carbo and fatty
foods for dinner and supper.
As for lifestyles, it is just a couch-potato
life .... propping infront of the computer and
TV and playstation ... without doing any form of
exercise to curb the increase of weight.
Considering these, how can Malaysians be expected
to lose weight and slim down ?
